How the blended learning works
This is a Level 3 Ofsted-compliant qualification delivered over two stages:
- 6 hours online — self-paced eLearning you can fit around your work and family. Covers theory, knowledge checks, and pre-classroom prep. Most candidates complete this across 3-5 sittings.
- 6 hours in classroom — one full day in our Anerley classroom (or at your nursery for group bookings). All hands-on practical: CPR on infant and child manikins, recovery position, choking response, AED use. You'll be assessed via practical observation.
By the end of the day, you'll receive your Ofsted-compliant certificate, valid for three years.
Where I run this course
Open courses are run from my classroom in Anerley (SE20), just five minutes from Anerley station and on bus routes from Crystal Palace, Penge, Sydenham and Beckenham.
For groups of 8 or more I'll come to your nursery, school or venue anywhere in South East and South West London — Bromley, Dulwich, Forest Hill, Streatham, Brixton, Tooting, Clapham, Lewisham, Blackheath. Just ask.
Pricing
Genuinely some of the most competitive paediatric pricing in South London — and I keep it that way on purpose.
I keep prices low because most bookings come through word of mouth, and I'd rather you book again than feel pinched. Group bookings: £700 for up to 14 delegates at your nursery — works out at £50/person, typically the cheapest option once you've factored in travel time and cover.
Available dates
Pick a date below and book directly. Open courses run roughly monthly in my Anerley classroom; for group bookings at your venue, get in touch for a quote.
Frequently asked questions
Is this course Ofsted-compliant for the Childcare Register?
Yes — fully compliant for both the Compulsory Childcare Register and Voluntary Register. This is the full 12-hour Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid required for childminders, nursery staff and anyone working with children under 8 on the EYFS framework.
How long is the certificate valid?
Three years from the date of issue. I'll send you a calendar reminder 60 days before expiry so you can rebook in plenty of time.
Can I do all 12 hours online?
No — Ofsted requires at least 6 hours of in-person practical assessment. The online portion gives us more classroom time for hands-on practice rather than theory.
Do you come to my nursery for group bookings?
Yes, for groups of 8 or more. I cover all of South East and South West London. Group fee is £700 for up to 14 delegates, which usually works out cheaper per person than individual bookings.
What's your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 7 days before the course. Within 7 days, I can transfer your booking to another date or refund 50%. Sickness or genuine emergencies — just let me know, I'll always work something out.
